Alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in blockchain

The present paper is focused on a primary vision on the existence of alternative projects, studies, analysis and considerations about Alternative Dispute Resolution (hereinafter ADR) as a suitable component for trustless permissioned blockchain ecosystems and an optimal way of transferring value within the context of such blockchains and distributed ledgers. One of the main reasons why contracting parties may prefer ADR proceedings is that, unlike adversarial litigation, ADR procedures are often collaborative and allow the concerned parties a better understanding of each other's positions. ADR also allows the parties to come up with innovative distributed solutions that a court possibly might not impose in applicable or competent jurisdiction.
