"Common European Sales Law Meets Reality. A European Debate on the Commission‘s Proposal"
GPR Conference
Martin Luther University, Halle (Saale), Germany
14 and 15 June 2013
On 11 October 2011, the European Commission submitted a proposal for a Common European Sales Law (CESL). The work is in its final stage. Therefore, it is time to consider the practical impact the instrument will have. This conference will focus on four different areas: politics, society, the judiciary, and academic education. How will the instrument change them? What are the specific challenges? What are the potential benefits? Renowned officials, politicians, academics, and legal practitioners from various Member States will reflect on the CESL’s future and engage in a truly European debate.
